Readership Profile
I made a readership profile to show my understanding of my chosen target audience who would be the readers of City Sound. I considered the age range of my audience being 16-21 and their general stereotypical psychographic concluding of their attitudes, values, lifestyle and interests. The most relevant lifestyle psychographic towards my target audience are 'The Aspirers'. |
The Aspirers are those who seek acceptance and status from a materialistic lifestyle; they are generally young people and reflecting on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs they are placed within the interests considerably high up within the hierarchy focusing on their self-esteem and confidence. Arguably, they could have some aspects of their lifestyle focused on lower down the hierarchy of love and belonging. Taking into account my TA's age and interests their relevance to this section is usually friendship and relationships.
Mood Board
To create my Mood Board, I included popular results from my survey, research and my own knowledge of rock music, interests and lifestyle psychographics of my target audience. This included indie-rock bands with elements of baroque-pop ranging from the icons of previous decades and those who are popular and well-known today. I also included images of festivals such as of Glastonbury and Reading/Leeds as they are attended each year of masses of individuals who are within my target audience age range of teens to young adults. (16-21).
